About Our Speaker
Wen is the founding managing partner at Matter Venture Partners. Wen graduated with a PhD in Electrical Engineering from California Institute of Technology, and he had worked at McKinsey & Company San Francisco and Asia, founded OnChip Technologies, and was one of three Managing Partners at Kleiner Perkins. Wen leads the hard-tech practice (intersection of hardware / software) and his portfolio of investments has resulted in 8 exits (IPOs and acquisitions).
About Matter Venture Partners
Founded in 2023, Matter Venture Partners (MVP) is a venture capital firm seeking to invest in hardtech startups. MVP completed the closing of a $300 million inaugural fund, which is one of the largest “first funds” raised in 2023. The firm had backing from Kleiner and Taiwanese chipmaker TSMC.
