Stewart is the epitome of a successful entrepreneur, who throughout his career has successfully founded several successful startups and sold them to large companies.
Early in his career he spent many years designing the baseband communication ICs at Chips & Technologies (acquired by Intel) and later at Cirrus Logic. He also spearheaded the networking department at Quality Semiconductors, Inc. (acquired by IDT).
Stewart would then go on to found Altima Communications Inc, which initially focused on producing Ethernet IC targeting SMB/SOHO markets. As Altima’s President and CEO, he would lead the charge to capture the emerging home router market. After selling Altima to Broadcom, he became the general manager for the SMB/SOHO Networking Business Unit at Broadcom.
Stewart later founded Storlink Semiconductors with the vision of revolutionizing the home networking infrastructure. He is currently VP of Marketing and Business development at Cortina Access. following the acquisition of StorLink Semiconductors Inc.
He holds a MSEE and later a PhD in EE from University of Washington.
